March 1 – November 15: Wednesday-Sunday, 7:00am – sunset (Closed Mondays & Tuesdays)

November 16 – February 28/29: 8:00am – 5:00pm (Closed Mondays-Thursdays)

 **Please note that North Carolina Fishing Licenses Can Not be purchased at Lake Reese.

 

Lake Rules & Regulations:

  • Visitors must adhere to North Carolina Inland Fishing regulations
  • Anyone using the lakes must have a valid permit issued by the Lake Warden
  • All boats must be off lake 30 minutes prior to sunset.
  • Maximum boat motor size is 15 Hp for Lake Lucas
  • Maximum boat speed limit is 25 mph on Lake Reese
  • All boats must be launched from the designated boat launch at the marina
  • Boat operators must be at least 16 years old
  • No alcoholic beverages are allowed
  • Swimming is not permitted
  • All boats must have one US Coast Guard approved lifejacket per occupant
  • Minimum age for fishing is 16, unless accompanied by an adult
  • Bank fishing is allowed only at designated areas
  • No littering in lake or on park property
  • Check out at office when leaving
  • Problems should be reported to the Lake Warden immediately
  • No fishing around dam area
  • Boats, canoes, kayaks and sail boats are all permitted on Lake Lucas and Lake Reese. Jet skis and similar personal watercraft along with windsurf boards and waterskiing are NOT permitted on the lake

**It is the responsibility of the fisherman to obtain all necessary fishing licenses. Please note that North Carolina Fishing Licenses Can Not be purchased at Lake Reese.
